Make orange peel soap using the melt and pour method in 3 easy steps

I have used the melt and pour method to make this soap using fresh orange peels.

You may even use dried orange peel powder for soap making.

Just peel the orange and leave them under the sun for 2-3 days for drying.

Then grind the dried peels into orange peel powder.

Why should you use handmade soaps?

You should look out that the below ingredients are not present in your soap.

1.Parabens are chemical preservatives used to increase the shelf life of soaps.

These chemicals can mimic estrogen, disrupting the function of our natural hormones.

2.Sulfates are chemicals used to produce lather and bubbles in the soap.

Sulfates strip the skin of its natural oils and increase penetration of the skin’s surface.

3.Triclosan has been banned by the FDA still, it is being used in many products.

The chemical has been found to negatively impact the immune system and cause many other side effects.

To protect yourself from all the above chemicals and many more, it is better that we use products which are handmade.
Handmade products are safer because the ingredients used are always in the open.

The melt and pour method is such an easy and fun way of making soaps that even a first-timer can start making them.

You can include even your children in a fun activity and make these wonderful soaps as a gift for your friends and family.

Melt and pour method- In melt and pour we make use of a pre-made soap base that has already undergone Saponification.
Saponification is a process that involves the conversion of fat, oil, or lipid, into soap and alcohol by the action of heat in the presence of aqueous alkali.

Learn the pros and cons of all the Soapmaking Methods

Do you know that orange peels have a higher vitamin C content than the orange itself?

Vitamin C is an antioxidant and helps in collagen production which is very helpful for younger-looking skin. Orange peel powder is a very good ingredient for oily skin as vitamin C helps with acne and blackheads. Also, helps in brightening the skin.

Fresh orange peels have a refreshing and energizing fragrance of their own.
The fragrance can wake you up on a lazy morning and get going.
